Luciano Venezia (1979) completed his doctorate in Political Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires and the École des hautes études en sciences sociales in 2012. Before, he studied Philosophy at the Universities of Buenos Aires and Arizona. He arrived in Paris in February 2013 to pursue a research project on Hobbes’s political and legal philosophy. His stay is funded by a post-doc grant awarded by the Mairie de Paris (Research in Paris Programme).

Research Interests

Luciano Venezia is now writing in book format his doctoral dissertation on Hobbes’s theory of political authority and political obligation.  Other research interests involve different topics in political and legal philosophy (e.g., political obligation, the normativity of law).
